The idea came from all the “business advice” that exists for people coming to China, where I’ve lived for several years, which is along the lines of “Don’t give a green hat as a gift”, “Don’t sign a contract drunk in a KTV” and so on. So I put together a short book allowing you to make those mistakes, with somewhat fantastical death scenes – giving a clock as a gift results in the world freezing around you, leaving you to wander your life in the time between seconds; signing a contract drunk in KTV traps you permanently as part of the music video on the other side of the glass. "
